About Us

Our story began in 1982, when Alan Everson opened Everson Manufacturing Jewellers right here in Upper Hutt. Alan ran the business for 32 years serving the upper Hutt community before retiring in August, 2014. This is when we entered our second chapter with a new ownership, but with the same drive to provide a superb service to our community, like we have for the past three decades and will continue to do into the future.

We are a traditional manufacturing jewellers, with a trade certified and extremely experienced jeweller, as well as a qualified gemologist and diamond specialist, working in our on-site workshop. As well as our workshop we are also a retailer with an excellent selection of traditional and contemporary jewellery styles. We differentiate ourselves from other jewellers by focusing on unique jewellery that reflects our character and the character of our community, in a way that a chain store cannot. We are a proud member of the Jewellers and Watchmakers of New Zealand Inc. We are also a member of Nationwide Jewellers which is Australasia’s largest buying group of jewellery retailers and allows us to offer the best prices on a wide range of jewellery.

As a manufacturing jeweller we create unique jewellery for our shop and also customise items to your specification for you. Diamond jewellery is a favourite of ours as well as a specialty, but that is not to diminish the coloured stones like sapphire, Ruby and Emerald which we also love to work with. Our workshop also offers jewellery repairs, such as: chain repairs, ring sizing, stone setting, watch and clock repairs, battery replacement, etc. All work we do is quoted for and guaranteed.

In our shop we stock a wide selection of fine jewellery, fashion jewellery and watches, with a focus on the higher end. Our selection of trusted names includes Seiko, Citizen, Casio, Karen Walker, Evolve, Coeur De Leon and many more.
